Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by Milk Meet to explain what personal data we collect when you sign up to our mailing list, how we use it, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Who we are

Milk Meet is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@milkmeet.com for any privacy-related questions or requests.

What we collect

When you sign up via the form on our website, we collect your email address and the date and time of your signup. We do not collect any other personal information.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

We use your email address to send you updates about Milk Meet events, including launch notifications and future event details.

Our lawful basis for processing your email is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and submitting the signup form. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).

Who we share it with

We share your email address with the following third-party processors so we can store it and send you emails:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting for our signup list.
  • Brevo (Sendinblue) — email marketing platform we use to send updates. See Brevo's privacy policy.

We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our database and from Brevo within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@milkmeet.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with reputable processors (Supabase and Brevo) that maintain industry-standard security practices. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this site. Only essential cookies required for the site to function may be set by your browser.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. For significant changes, we'll email subscribers directly.
